Electric Forest is an annual festival that’s held in Rothbury, MI on the Double JJ Resort. Previously known for hosting an amazing lineup of ‘jam band’ style artists, over the years the festival has expanded their genres to other more mainstream EDM artists like Alison Wonderland and REZZ (2018). However, you’ll always catch a set of The String Cheese Incident for every night of the festival.

Outside of expanding their artists tastes, over the years the festival has grown to catering festival goers for two back to back weekends of music and art installations (edit: for 2019 it’s only one weekend and it’s sold out. Apply to the ticket exchange here). Electric Forest brings art and music together, creating a truly mythical place like no other you’ve experience. The art installations range from entire ‘room’ like set ups, to almost random sculptures and other interactive installations spread throughout the festival grounds.

Tickets & Camping

Electric Forest has TONS of different options when it comes to ticket options. Not only are GA tickets available, but there are also various different levels of VIP to consider as well! Now, outside of having tons of just regular ticket options, there are tons of additional addons for your Electric Forest experience! Some tickets will include camping, others will not. Make sure you know if you need to purchase a camping pass or not.

Outside of having your ticket, you need to make sure that you purchase a camping pass if your ticket doesn’t include one. This will ensure that you, your car and your gear have somewhere to sleep, eat and get ready! Now, of course, there are tons of different options, and then there are add-ons for your camping options. Curated Events & Activities

As mentioned previously, Electric Forest goes above and beyond for their ‘headliners’ (attendees). They not only have amazing art installations that are interactive, stimulating and beautiful, but they also have curated events. These are what you could consider ‘mini shows’ if you will. These are curated sets, that include friends and favorite artists of artists that are also performing at the event!

The Forest family hasn’t released any information regarding the curated events for 2019, however you can find some background on the events by checking out the 2018 events!

Extras

Aside from bring you all the awesome options for tickets, camping and experience, the Forest family didn’t stop there! They also created an app! From this application (iOS and Android), you can find the lineup, the set times, as well as the festival map so you can navigate your way to the different stages. What’s the best part you ask? It’s that you can use it all totally cellular free! So throw your phone in airplane mode and disconnect for a few days!

Aside from having everything labeled with signs to point you in the right direction, the Forest is also organized by streets! This makes navigating so much easier when you’re looking to get a certain location, or share where your current location is.

The grounds are also set up in groups. When you walk into the grounds, you’re going to see the Tripolee stage. This is where you’re going to find your heavy bass options, as well as the closing shows for each night and yoga each morning! From there you should absolutely journey into the Ranch Arena, which is considered the Main Stage. From from the Ranch, Sherwood Forest is calling your name! Here there are three different stages in this area, each of them offering a different experience. Outside of just the music, Sherwood Forest also offers amazing attractions as well!
